As an audio engineer, I’ve come across several individuals who struggle with answering calls using their Apple headphones.
While it may seem like a simple task, the various buttons on the headphones can be confusing. Fear not, as I’m here to guide you through the process step by step.
Before you can answer a call using your Apple headphones, it’s essential to determine the type of headphones you have. Apple headphones come in various models, including the AirPods, AirPods Pro, and EarPods.
Each model has different features, and the button layout might vary. Familiarize yourself with the headphone model you have before proceeding to the next step
When you receive an incoming call, you’ll hear a ringing tone in your headphones.
To answer the call, simply press the center button once. You’ll hear a beep, indicating that the call has been answered.
To end a call, press the center button once.
You’ll hear a beep, and the call will be disconnected. If you’re using AirPods or AirPods Pro, you can also end a call by removing the earbuds from your ears.
If you’re unable to answer the call or don’t wish to answer, you can decline the call.
To do this, press and hold the center button for about two seconds. You’ll hear a beep, and the call will be declined.
If you’re on a call and receive a second call, you can switch between the two calls using your headphones.
Press the center button once to switch between the calls. To end a call and continue with the other, press and hold the center button for two seconds.
Answering calls using your Apple headphones may seem daunting, but it’s quite simple once you get the hang of it.
With the step-by-step guide above, you’ll be able to answer, end, and decline calls with ease.
